Upper Iowa University has announced the Dean's List for the 2017 fall semester. To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade point average for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.

These VSHS speech students advanced to the Feb. 3 State speech event. These are the 2018 VSHS large group speech participants. Vinton-Shellsburg Speech participants competed at the Iowa High School Speech Association's District Large Group Conteston Saturday January 20th at Montezuma.

By Rob Levis, Coach Tuesday night was a long night for the Vinton-Shellsburg CPU swim team, but one well worth the time. Facing 10 other schools the Stormin' Vikes finished a strong third place in turning in their best single meet performance since 2010.
