The National Weather Service has issued another warning for Benton County as well as much of east-central Iowa. The NWS predicts another 4-8 inches of snow will fall from Thursday afternoon to Friday evening.

Animal ruling: Family can keep 14 animals, but most to remain in care of shelters

District Court Judge Patrick Grady has issued his ruling in the well-publicized Vinton animal case, ordering most of the more than 700 animals seized from the home of Barbara Galkowski to remain in the official custody of Benton County, and under the care of two animal shelters.
