News : 'Tough Cookie:' Girl Scouts rally around leader facing cancer again

Barb Johnson left, has the support of local Girl Scouts in her 2nd battle with cancer.

These are two of the shirts being sold in honor of Barb Johnson.

The Vinton area Girl Scouts are organizing a fund-raiser for Barb Johnson. The leader of Troop #6652 was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. After being cancer-free for five years, Barb learned recently that her cancer had returned. She recently began chemotherapy.

The Scouts are selling shirts that read, "Barb Johnson is one tough cookie," with a graphic of a cookie with boxing gloves. Profits will help cover Barb's medical expenses. But more importantly, the Scouts want to show their love and support for Barb.
