North Eden Willing Workers bowlers won county recognition at the Benton County Bowling Tournament February 7th. Junior member Anna Becker was High Scoring Junior Girl with 260 pins; Jonathon Kreutner hit 287 pins and was the High Scoring Senior Boy. The NEWW Smashers team of Maren Redlinger, Jenna Pattee, Jordon Pattee, and Jonathon Kreutner were the High Scoring Intermediate Team with a total of 740 pins. 20 NEWW members participated. The club also held their long-awaited sledding party February 12th. Five members attended.

At the February meeting (held January 31st due to bowling), club members discussed upcoming club and county events, including the sewing workshop the club will hold soon, on making headbands. Leaders also announced FSQA class dates for Benton County and reminded members of the March 4-H volleyball tournament. During the Program, Sydney Walton taught the club how to make grape salad and Elijah Kaiser constructed a wooden bird feeder. Noah Kaiser made a cat toy. Sophia Kreutner presented on deviled eggs, and Ty Lillibridge folded a 3-D Minecraft character from paper. Snacks were provided by the Happel, Kingsbury, and Kreutner families. The next meeting will be held Sunday, March 6th, 5:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton. Anyone interested in joining 4-H is invited to attend.
