VS FFA members earned many honors at Sub-Districts.
On February 24th, 2016 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter went to Hawkeye Community College for Sub-District Convention. 23 members decided to go to this convention to compete in different Leadership CDEs. All of the members did fantastic at Sub-Districts, with one group even advancing to District Convention, held on March 12th. The results are as followed:
Chapter Program; Erin Cox, Katie Isbell, and Sydney Walker- 2nd place, Gold
Creed Speaking; Isaac Wiley- Gold
Extemporaneous Speaking; Brianna Lundval- Bronze
Parliamentary Procedure; Jessica Alderson, Amanda Burkey, Kayla Schneider, Olivia Walker, and Keri Webster- 3rd place alternate, Silver
Public Speaking; Drew Wiley- Bronze
Conduct of Meetings; Colton Evans, George Haefner, Ethan Horak, Jakob Long, Shelby McDonald, Madeline Moen, and Riley Schneider- 3rd place alternate, Gold
Job Interview; Ben Eden- Silver
Greenhand Quiz; Erin Cox, Eric Henkle, Collin Henry, Mikaila Higley, Shelby McDonald, Grant Ries, and Riley Schneider
Chapter Quiz; Jessica Alderson, Colton Evans, George Haefner, Ethan Horak, Jakob Long, and Madelin Moen
