The response to the first few weeks of the "Thirsty Thursday" event has been so good that the Post 57 Legion members plan to continue it indefinitely.

Each week, Lucinda Hansen, the mother of Post Commander Bobbi Enos, prepares a home-cooked meal (spaghetti was on the menu last night). The bar is open for customers each Thursday, and music echoes from the meeting room every other week. Legion member Bob Dahl played his fiddle, accompanied by his son, Jim , on the guitar.

Since Thursday was St. Patrick's Day, many of the customers wore green, adding to the festivity of the evening.

Each week, the bar is open from 3-9 p.m., and the meal is served from 5-7.

The menu next week includes pulled pork; chili with another acoustic jam is planned for March 31.
