Miracle Tree arrives at Vinton Lutheran Home to assist the elderly at Christmas stop in choose a tag

The Vinton Lutheran Home Communities is once again sponsoring a "Tree of Miracles" for Benton Co. elderly shut-ins.

Please pick a tag off any one of our trees located at the Lutheran Home, Lutheran Assisted Living Apartments or Windsor Manor from now until Dec. 19th.

Each tag has a gift idea for someone who needs a little extra help this year to have a Merry Christmas.

Simply return your wrapped gift to any one of the facilities listed with the tag attached to it by Dec. 19th at noon.

The Lutheran Home Health Agency will deliver them from there. Call Jessica Rippel at (319)472-2092 with any questions.

Ed's note: Different requests include, lotion, craft supplies, slippers, socks, blankets, dog food & toys, warm clothing, household needs, gift certificates for groceries &/or meals out, etc.

Prices range from $5.00 up to whatever the individual feels comfortable spending, quite a few requests are around $15.00.

There is also a tree on the other side of town at Windsor Manor for the same project!

Names for the tree are from Lutheran Home Health Agency & Aging Services.
