The end of November marked the end of “Growing Awareness,” an effort by the Vinton Police Department to raise awareness about the Benton County Food Pantry. During the month of November, several members of the Vinton Police Department grew mustaches as a fun way to spark conversation and promote the Benton County Food Pantry.
The Police Department and the Food Pantry ask for your continued generosity as the holiday season continues. Please donate any of the following items: canned food, cereal, toilet paper, dish and laundry soaps, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes, paper towels, instant potatoes, peanut butter, and cake mixes. In addition to food and household goods, financial contributions are accepted and appreciated.
Anyone with questions or wanting to donate items, please contact Sherry Crawford at (319)472-5521 or Dorothy Miller at (319)472-2125. Pictured with participating members of the Police Department is Sherry Crawford, Co-chair of the Benton County Food Pantry.
