Residents are hoping that the disappearance of statues that used to be located at their homes are simply a homecoming prank and that the belongings will be returned.
A post in an area Lost and Found group mentions a cement angel that weighs about 50 lbs. and is about 2 feet tall, went missing. The angel was a birthday gift and the family would appreciate its return. The angel is similar to this example and was at a home on D Ave.
In another instance, the Virgin Mary took a walk on Wednesday night from the Horst home. Marcy said it was a gift from her mother that just passed away this year. The statue was given to the family 30 years ago and weighs easily 100 lbs. The family is hoping too that it is simply a homecoming prank and that it will be returned.
If you have information about these missing statues, please contact the police department, or hey, just return the statues to their owners.
