Waylon Struve, six years old, gave the inspiration for a book written by his aunt Breanna Stephenson. It all started because of an ordinary morning in the Struve home. It began with the birth of a fly that Waylon had named, "Twisty." The story goes, that while Waylon was eating breakfast he noticed a fly in the house and immediately named it. After that, every fly was now, "Twisty."

The family got in on the fun and started calling out every time they noticed "Twisty." Twisty was everywhere and in several locations. The idea of Twisty became a thing between family members.

Twisty has taken on a life of his own in the form of a children's book entitled, "Twisty the Fly and I go to a Garage Sale." Twisty is full of adventures flitting from place to place based off of Waylon's imagination.

Aunt Breanna is a graphic designer and photographer by trade. She said, "I've been traveling around the states, visiting National Parks along the way...I'm always looking for another creative outlet or way to push myself."

"Waylon's birthday was coming up and Twisty was a hot topic in the family," Stephenson said. "I'd never written a book, it sounded like a fun way to challenge myself and create a memorable birthday gift for my nephew, something special that he could keep and hopefully remember highlights/favorite things of being six later on."

The family began to share ideas and encouragement for the idea of a Twisty book. The idea of a book led her to research how to or if she could self-publish this book. She said with a lot of questions and research, she took things step by step and the book became a reality.
