It could have been worse, says Fifth Street Koffee Haus owner John Yundt, adding that it would have been ok with him if the damage from the July 11 storm had been less severe.
Yet, said Yundt, he was pleasantly surprised to be able to reopen the business at the beginning of September, considering the serious nature of the damage. The entire roof was destroyed, and water damaged much of the interior.
The business opened this morning, Thursday, Sept. 1. Many area business and home owners continue to see progress made on their damaged structures. Dozens of contractors continue repairing houses and other buildings.
