We serve a population where many suffer from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. With Alzheimer’s Disease, a person regresses as the disease progresses. In essence, they travel back through their life. To help them cope with the changes in their minds, it can help to have items that are familiar to them. I have put together a list of items that we are requesting for our residents. Unfortunately many of these items aren’t things you can go pick up at the local store and that’s why we are asking for help. The items need to be familiar and recognizable so they are vintage.
Any help from the wonderful people in Vinton would be greatly appreciated.
We are looking for items to bring back memories for our residents…
