Robert Harold Rice, 39, Clutier, charged with burglary

Robert Harold Rice, 39, Clutier, Iowa was arrested by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Monday February 13, 2012 at his residence. Rice was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at his residence by officers from the Benton and Tama County Sheriff’s Offices. Property taken from burglaries that occurred recently in rural Benton and Tama Counties was recovered from Rice’s residence.

Rice is charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree, (class d felonies), theft in the second degree, (class d felony), theft in the third degree (aggravated misdemeanor) and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, (aggravated misdemeanor). Rice is currently being held at the Benton County Correctional Facility on a $ 10,000.00 bond.

The investigation is continuing.
