Mary Evelyn Woods Fowler, 92, passed peacefully into Heaven on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her home in Vinton.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at First Christian Church in Vinton with Rev. Connie Wacht officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the church and also one hour prior to services on Monday. Raymond A. Clemen
SHELLSBURG: Raymond A. Clemen, 44 of Hiawatha and formerly of Shellsburg died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the St. Luke’s Hospice Inpatient Unit in Cedar Rapids following a battle with esophageal cancer.

Harold James Schmelzer, 67, of Mission, South Dakota, passed away over Easter weekend.
Harold was a teacher of Mathematics and Science, most recently in the Foundational Studies program at Sinte Gleske University on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Harold graduated from high school in Vinton, Iowa, in 1963 and then, in 1966, from the University of Northern Iowa, with a degree in Education. Donald Lee Sutton

Dale Richard Christianson, 91 of Norway, Iowa passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, March 27th from complications of Alzheimer's at Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center. He had been a resident there since 2009.
