CENTER POINT: Robert J. Thon, 70 died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice Houe of Mercy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana with Rev. Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Rilda Colleen Fish, 62, of Marion, formerly of Shellsburg, died Oct. 12, 2012, at the Solon Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Oct. 16 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg. VINTON – Marvill K. Mostrom, 92, of Vinton, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Private family services with military honors will be held at a later date.
Marvill was born March 29, 1920, in Lake Mills, Iowa, on his family’s farm in rural Winnebago County, the son of Arthur K. and Sarah Dolen Mostrom.
Jack R. Livingston
Jack R. Livingston, 65, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Salem United Methodist Church, 3715 33rd Ave. SW, in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. John Louk officiating. VINTON – Judy Mitrisin Wood, 68, died at her home in Vinton surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, following a brief battle with breast cancer.

Robert “Bob” G. Ridenour, 80, of Monticello, formerly of Vinton, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, surrounded by his family at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. VINTON: Willis Duane Hansen, 78, of 5769 28th Avenue, Vinton, Iowa, died at Western Home Communities Martin Health Center, on Monday, October 1, 2012.
Willis was born July 7, 1934, in Goldfield, Iowa, the son of Gilbert LeRoy Sr. and Beatrice Ione (Lister) Hansen. Willis attended grade school in Lenox, IA, and graduated from Vinton Lincoln High School in 1952.
