Richard "Dick" E. Haskins, 83, passed away January 14, 2011 at Urbandale Senior Suites after a 13 month courageous battle with brain cancer. To honor his wishes, Dick will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. To honor Eleanor's request there will be no public services. Private Committal Services will be held at the Garrison Cemetery at a later date. Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton is in charge of arrangements.
