Marjorie Krug

VINTON:
Marjorie E. Krug, 87, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Vinton, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton, with Rev. Lexi Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will be held at the Garrison Cemetery in Garrison. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m., until service time on Saturday.
Marjorie was born September 11, 1926 in Monroe Township near Garrison to John J. and Wilma F. (Urmy) Krug.
She enjoyed embroidery, reading, and collecting poetry and "sayings". Marjorie also loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Schlitter of Vinton and Lois A. Irwin of Cedar Rapids; and five nephews.
Her parents and two brothers, Melvin and Jimmie Krug, and her nephew Bill Irwin, preceded her in death.
