VINTON: Viola Marie Koeppen, 88 of Vinton and formerly of Belle Plaine died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
There will be no public services scheduled, interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Viola was born September 28, 1926 to Otto and Helen (Phelps) Holst at Belle Plaine. She worked at Benco in Belle Plaine for many years retiring in 1996.
Viola is survived by her son, Virgil Klenk of Center Point; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Chris) Cannon of Shellsburg and two great grandchildren, Alexis and Christian Cannon.
In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Otto “Mikie” Jr., and her three sisters, Zola, Dora and Maxine.
