Natica Renelle Dornan, 51, passed away at her home in Greenville, North Carolina on April 20, 2023. Tica, as she was known, was born on December 6, 1971. Tica lived in Vinton, Iowa during most of the 1970s before moving to Virginia Beach, VA where she graduated high school and lived the majority of her teen through adult life.

Tica was a lover of nature and especially horses. She was the happiest on the horse farm. Breeding, grooming, and riding horses was truly where she found her peace and where she felt most herself. Tica loved her three daughters and her family unconditionally. She always wanted her family to know that they meant the world to her and that was where she found comfort during hard days. She will always be remembered as ambitious and driven; never being able to sit still and always had her mind set on the next project. She accomplished some incredible things during her life such as successful careers (including one at Coca-Cola), a college degree, and several awards for horse related shows; however, her most prized and valued accomplishment was her beautiful family. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile and laugh and the ability to make friends with anyone who crossed her path. Her oldest daughter, Kaile, describes her best as a 'chameleon;' the ability to fit into any crowd or group no matter where she was. Her resilient and strong personality is how she will be remembered.

Tica is survived by her three daughters, Kaile Alexis Solari, Mackenzie Reigh Solari, and Peyton Ann Orlopp; father, John (Lynn) Dornan, and mother, Teresa (Bill) Phillips; her sister, Casey (Jimmy) Six, one niece, Charlotte Rose Six, and her uncles, Thomas (Cindy) Lynch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Steven (Pam) Lynch of Cascade, Iowa; grandmother, Sheila Lynch of Garrison, Iowa; and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 3:00pm at Coastal Community Church at 2800 S Independence Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Flowers are welcomed for the service and may be sent directly to Coastal Community Church. If being delivered, please schedule delivery between 1:30pm-2:00pm.
