Marva Ann Hanna, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday January 27, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton, with Rev. Anne Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. A private family interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Marva was born December 7, 1933, in rural Verona, North Dakota, to Hauke and Harm Weimann. Marva grew up on the family farm near Verona and graduated Verona High School. Marva Ann Wiemann married Jerry Lynn Hanna April 15, 1955, at St. John Lutheran Church, Verona, North Dakota. They started their married life at Fargo, N.D. The army took the couple to Augusta, Georgia, and Monterey Bay California. They settled in Vinton, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two children Ceeann and Brent Hanna. Jerry preceded Marva in death on October 5, 2021.

Marva was a homemaker for her family and an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilt making, square dancing, traveling, R.V. camping, and spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren from near and far.

Marva is survived by her daughter Ceeann Lynn "Craig" Hanna Conklin and her husband Mark, and her son Brent Kenneth Hanna and his wife Harley. She is also survived by her brother Harvey Weimann and his wife Joyce; 2 sisters, Beverly "Dolly" and husband Dennis Hankle, and Dorthy "Suzy" Zink; her grandchildren, Rachael Mae Hanna, Brittany Chrystyne Hanna Dibanda and her husband Gildas, Jordan Ross Hanna and his wife Aleysha, and Erik Lester Hanna; great grandchildren, Simone Joyce Dibanda, Gideon Gildas Dibanda, Juliett Jane Dibanda, Killian Kenneth Robert Hanna, and Lylianna Olivia Lynn Hanna, Eilidh Amelia Mae Hanna.
