Douglas "Doug" Delf Sievers, 66, of Marion, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by his family. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Phillips Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Doug was born on May 6, 1959, to Delf and Janice (Junge) Sievers. He was raised outside of Keystone and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1977. After high school, he attended night classes at Hawkeye Tech to become an electrician. Doug was a man of many talents, which led him to a variety of jobs throughout his life. He eventually retired from Apache Hose. After retirement, he contributed to the Keystone Turner Hall in many ways with both his time and talents. He was also a 40+ year Turner Member.

Most knew him as "Bugsy," a nickname he received from his classmates in high school. He was playing baseball and Coach Darwin Oehlerich called him Bugsy. The nickname stuck and eventually became the name that most knew him by.

Doug is survived by his mother, Janice (Junge) Sievers of Keystone; siblings Bradley (Mary) Sievers of Luzerne, Laurie (Dan) Buffington of Cedar Rapids, and Dirk Sievers of Keystone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Delf Sievers, and his sister-in-law, Ellen Sievers.

Doug was an avid Cyclone fan, skilled tradesman, loyal friend, and generous donor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
