Now that the revelry has died down and everyone has returned home. I would like to take a moment to thank our Fire Departments in Vinton and Garrison for their efforts in bringing the IFA convention to Vinton as well as their great work all year round.

TL;DR: V-S superintendent, by eliminating the full-time technology director position, causes district to waste $500,000 on laptop 1:1 Initiative. We need to make some serious changes to keep from making this mistake again.

After years of watching my friends from the Iowa Pyrotechnic Association put together the fireworks displays that thousands enjoy each Boomtown (not to mention the year-long meetings and other preparations), I knew that putting on a fireworks show is a lot of tough work.
