I have to admit, after this year, I think I feel a bit more Grinch-ish than normal. I am so tired of hearing, mask up, socially distance or how I could kill Grandma before she gets run over by a reindeer if I don't wear a mask! (Now I'm not debating the should or shouldn'ts of any of that, but seriously, we're all weary)However, NOW is the time to make the day of those that serve us year around a bit brighter.

7 Years, and one day

I was reminded by relatives via Facebook that I'd lost my dad 7 years ago, yesterday. But really, I'd lost him about 5 or 6 years before when he went into a care center.

COVID messes with everything. Especially the calendar.  I needed to get my car fixed as well as cover a photo op on the same day. I looked at my calendar, got the car ready, told the mechanic where it would be for pick up and prepared for the rest of my day.

The debate has started again as to whether the US Constitution should be amended in order to change the presidential election process.  Some promote eliminating the Electoral College in favor of a direct popular vote for president while others believe the Electoral College should remainunchanged.

If you've never been to Texas let me tell you a bit about H E B grocery stores. They are THE grocery store in Texas. Like everything they are huge. I'd guess they are probably the size of a Sam's Club, with mostly groceries in them.

I spent Tuesday working at the polls in one of the most beautiful [st]tings in the county, the courthouse. I worked alongside 4 other great people in the Eden, Harrison, Taylor Precinct.
