Thank you to all the people who came forward to offer prayers, assistance and support to the families of the victims, and to us, following the recent tragic accident.  The Center Point-Urbana and Vinton-Shellsburg School districts' show of support was indeed touching. The setting may have been unusual, but the funeral service for Quentin, Triston, Hunter and Zoey was a loving,  fitting and dignified tribute.   It was a testament to the accident victims, their families, the racing community and our communities as a whole.

We could not possibly list everyone who helped with this tribute.  However, we do want to mention some of the people who so generously offered assistance:
The Vinton and Garrison Fire Departments
Dan Engledow and IMCA
Don Burkey, Ryan Clark and the Benton County Speedway
Benton County Fair Board
Pastor Jessica Crane-Munoz, Susie Hansen, Edwon Yedlik, Judy Reams, Nancy Baldwin, Carrie Boddicker and others from the Vinton Presbyterian Church
Pastor David Arnold and members of Prairie Creek Christian Church
The people who helped move flowers, receive food and usher: Maria Davis, Mark Phippen, the Chad and Jenna Scott Family, Wendy Dunkelberger and Dawn Markland
Iowa Donor Network
Our funeral service colleagues who called to offer assistance: Kloster Funeral Home, Papich-Kuba Funeral Home and Stewart Baxter Funeral Home

Thank you all.

PD April 30, 2015, 3:28 pm This is so typical of the way this funeral home does business. Vinton should be proud to have them in their city. It was our city until 1972, still is in our hearts. Larry & Pat
