Kiwanis 2024 Boomtown 5K Race Results

Doug Lane the Overall 5k winner of Kiwanis 5K Race This year, the 2024 Boomtown 5K Race Male Overall Winner was Doug Lane who came in at 19:31. Berry, Lewis top End of Summer Madness at Benton County Speedway

The 2024 season came to an end with the End of Summer Madness special Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. Headlining action was the championship night for the PRO Late Model Tour, along with the Midwest Dirt Shootout for INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct. Tom Berry Jr. earned the first Late Model win of his career just a couple weeks ago at the speedway.

Big night planned for season finale at Benton County Speedway

Benton County Speedway will close the season in a big way this Sunday, August 25. The PRO Late Model Tour will headline action with its season championship program by featuring a $3,500 to win, $300 to start main event at The Bullring. Not to be outdone, the INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct will be on-hand for the Midwest Dirt Shootout, which is the highest paying Legends race in the country.

Lil Racer Car Club members sent back to school with new backpacks & supplies

14 totes loaded up and delivered to the Benton County Speedway for members of the Lil Racer Car Club At Benton County Speedway, there is a "lil" club set up for "lil" kids to enjoy called the 'Lil Racer Car Club." This year, the Crew Chief, Janice Smith, her husband Larry, and their daughter, handed out backpacks filled with school supplies to hand out to all of the kids who were at the race track.  Janice and Larry Smith, both in their 70s now drive to be at the Benton County Speedway to help with the program.

Champions crowned at Benton County Speedway

Season championship feature racing was held Sunday night at Benton County Speedway and track champions were crowned in six divisions at The Bullring. The best finish of the night came in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company.  John Oliver Jr. wrapped up the track title by taking the green flag in that 20-lapper, but he ran second for much of the event to Braden Richards.

Red Cedar Chapter of the Izaak Walton League offers Free "Intro to Shotguns"

The Red Cedar Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is offering a FREE “Introduction to Shotguns” this coming Saturday, August 17th. We will cover basic firearms safety, the different types of shotguns and their uses, shotgun cartridges – how they work and their different purposes of each and proper storage of firearms.We will also have range time where you will be able to fire various shotguns as well as trying your hand at shooting clay pigeons.

Season championship Super Sunday up next at Benton County Speedway

The regular season will come to a close with season championships this Sunday, August 18 at Benton County Speedway.   The IMCA weekly racing finale will include a special appearance by the PRO Late Model Tour for a Super Sunday event at The Bullring. Entering the final night of weekly points racing, Ben Chapman leads the standings in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Wright Way Trailers, while John Oliver Jr.

Murty tops Bald Tire Bash, Snyder gets first win at The Bullring

Dallon Murty was the $2,000 winner in the Bald Tire Bash Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. The event, which required a maximum tire tread depth of 1/8” in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division, featured a 40-lap feature that Murty dominated once he got out front. Kyle Olson was the early leader in the Christie Door Company main event.

Bald Tire Bash, Kids’ Backpack Night this Sunday at The Bullring

In what has become an annual event for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company, the Bald Tire Bash will highlight racing action this Sunday, Aug. 11 at Benton County Speedway. The draw/redraw special for the Stock Cars will boast a $2,000 winner’s share in a $200 to start main event at The Bullring. There is no entry fee.
