Northern District of IA takes part in Efforts to Protect Older Adults

         The Justice Department announced the results of its efforts over the past year to protect older adults from fraud and exploitation. During the past year, the Department and its law enforcement partners tackled maters that ranged from mass-marketing scams that impacted thousands of victims to bad actors scamming their neighbors.

IA Dept. of Ag and Land Stewardship Urges Iowans to Report Asian Copperleaf

First spotted in Black Hawk County in 2016, the weed was recently found in Grundy CountyA weed first discovered in Black Hawk County in 2016 has again been spotted in 2022, nearly 30 miles away in Grundy County. Due to its potential threat to row crops, the Iowa Department of Agriculture is asking Iowans to report any sightings to determine the potential scale of the infestation.
