Hello District 75 from the State Capitol!
Week 15 was slow for most of the legislators, and the 100th day was on April 19th which was the last day for legislators to receive a daily stipend for housing and meals. The House and Senate leadership continue to work on negotiations for the budgets. Recruiting health care professionals to rural Iowa
The Iowa Senate has taken a positive step to help address the workforce crisis that has hit all sectors of our economy. I joined my colleagues to unanimously approve broader incentives to attract more health care professionals to our small towns and rural areas. Provisions in SF 2383 makes changes to three recruitment programs aimed at one of Iowa’s critical workforce shortage fields: 1. Hello District 75 from the State Capitol!
