Iowa State Senate District 42 Candidate Profile: Jessica Wiskus

It was never my intention to run for a political office. But last November I learned that an out-of-state corporation wanted to use eminent domain to force a dangerous CO2 pipeline through my neighbors’ land, past our local school district, churches, nursing homes, and houses. I knew that I had to take action. It simply isn’t right for the government to condemn a person’s property, endanger our community’s safety, and stuff the profits into the pockets of corporate executives.

Iowa House District 84 Candidate Profile: Sara Yedlik

Many legislators prioritize their donors and fail to listen to the concerns of the voters.  I will prioritize the constituents of House District 84 (Benton County & NW/SW Linn County) and be responsive to your concerns. I served on the Board of Educational Examiners for the past 8 years since I was appointed by the governor in 2014. This experience has prepared me to work collaboratively in a bipartisan manner for the betterment of our state.

Iowa House District 76 Candidate Profile: Derek Wulf

There are two main things that I would say make me the best candidate to represent the newly created Iowa House District 76: experience and philosophies. The experience I’ve gained as being a lifelong family farmer, working in agribusiness, and most importantly growing a young family in my rural community can’t be learned anywhere else, and I think they’ll serve our district well in Des Moines.
