Q&A: Checklist for U.S. Passports

Q: What do Iowans need to know about obtaining or renewing passports? A: The U.S. Department of State processes passports for American citizens. In recent months, the federal agency is experiencing significant backlog as global travel picks up since COVID-19 effectively shut down international travel. Like many Americans, Iowans are getting frustrated with delays and disruptions to their travel plans while they wait for passports to be processed.

Student Fee Waiver and Reduction Information

Vinton-Shellsburg schools will be hosting an in-person application assistant day on July 26th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the district Central Office (1502 C Avenue, Vinton, IA) for those families who wish to apply to qualify for free or reduced textbook costs.Vinton-Shellsburg schools are happy to announce we will be offering no cost meals during the school year 2021-2022.

V-S COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT - REGISTRATION & FEES

Registration for all district students can be completed on-line starting July 19, 2021. Convenience fee waived through August 22, 2021. Visit our website at www.vscsd.org. If you need assistance you may go to the buildings or call starting August 9th, 8:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. & 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m., Monday – Friday.HS Students New to the Vinton-Shellsburg District may contact the guidance office (436-5704) beginning August 9th to schedule an appointment for registration with their counselor.

Vinton-Shellsburg School District announces new website and expanded

With the 2021-2022 school year just about a month away, VSCSD has a couple of exciting announcements. The district is thrilled to announce the launch of a new website. The best part is, the web address is the same, and students and parents can still visit vscsd.org for everything they need. VSCSD wanted to redesign the site to make navigation easier and to improve accessibility for users.
