Suspect arrested following a high speed chase ending in striking SUV

On September 9, 2021 at approximately 09:22 am a Benton County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 7900 block of 16th Ave Dr. south of Luzerne.  The Deputy located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop with that vehicle.  The vehicle did not stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued.  The pursuit went for several miles on gravel roads and reached speeds in excess of 80mph.
