City Council Notes from 4/9/19
The Mayor joked that the council was now in their Season 1 and Episode 2 of the City Council on Zoom for the year. As a viewer from home, this is definitely not the way for the council to have to conduct business, but it will have to do for now!The council went through the usual approving of the agenda, looking at the expenditures, and other normal business of the council.

Intrastate Warrants are issued by Law Enforcement Agencies for crimes happening in their jurisdictions. Covid update: Monday
As of 5:00 p.m. on Monday night, there have been 23 reported cases in Benton County out of the 246 people tested. There has been one death, in the county in of an 83 year old from Blairstown. Today,
the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 257
additional positive cases for a total of 3,159 positive cases. There
have been an additional 1,013 negative tests for a total of 22,661
negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State
Hygienic Lab and other labs.

Sunday COVID Update
Today, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has been notified of 389 additional positive cases for a total of 2,902 positive cases. There have been an additional 1,214 negative tests for a total of 21,648 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. According to IDPH, an additional 1 death was also reported (1 older adult, 61-80 years in Muscatine County), 198 are currently hospitalized, and 1,171 Iowans have recovered.
Saturday: Additional COVID-19 cases in Iowa, additional deaths confirmed
Today, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH)
has been notified of 181 additional positive cases for a total of
2,513 positive cases. There have been additional 974 negative tests
for a total of 20,434 negative tests to date, which includes testing
reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. According to IDPH, an additional 10 deaths were also reported, 193
are currently hospitalized, and 1,095 Iowans have recovered.
Iowa schools to extend closures through end of school year
Schools
will continue voluntary and required continuous learning plans while
school buildings are closedGov. Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of
Education announced today that all school districts and nonpublic
schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year and will
continue to offer continuous learning to mitigate the spread of
COVID-19.

positive cases. There have been additional 926 negative tests for a
total of 19,460 negative tests to date, which includes testing
reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. According to IDPH, an additional 4 deaths were also reported, 183
are currently hospitalized, and 1,007 Iowans have recovered.
