Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation continuing State Public Health Emergency

Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the Public Health Disaster Emergency.  The proclamation permits dental services to resume in compliance with guidelines adopted by the Iowa Dental Board, permits some additional businesses and establishments to reopen throughout Iowa in a limited fashion with appropriate public health measures in place, and provides additional regulatory relief to assist Iowans affected by this disaster.

Don't forget to fill out your Census Form

The U.S. Census Bureau is asking all Americans to send in their Census forms, telling who was living in their homes as of, April 1.Most Americans had Census forms mailed to their home addresses.The Census Bureau will begin contacting Americans who have not sent in their forms later this month. Governor Reynolds to travel to Washington D.C. tomorrow, no press conference.

Gov. Reynolds will travel to Washington, D.C. tomorrow to provide an [upd] to President Donald Trump and his Coronavirus Task Force on the status of COVID-19 in Iowa, including the state’s efforts to reopen. There will be no press conference tomorrow Wednesday, May 6th. Report of domestic assault results in marijuana discovery

n 05-05-2020, at about 07:35 AM, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible domestic abuse assault incident at 303 NW Cottage St in Shellsburg IA.   During that investigation, it was determined that the victim did not require medical attention and that the suspect had fled the scene. A small marijuana growing operation was also located during the investigation.

Shellsburg City Council Minutes

Council Minutes 4-6-204-06-20 a regular meeting of the Shellsburg City Council was called to order by Mayor Speckner at 6:00pm via conference call.  Roll call was answered by Thorkildson, Blattler, Vogt, Reeves, and Chapman. Reeves motioned to approve the consent agenda. Chapman second. All ayes. Thorkildson motioned to pay $ 85.00 to get a stump ground out.
