HELLO HOUSE DISTRICT 75 FROM THE STATE CAPITOL!
The COVID-19 pandemic curve is either flattened out or on its way down across Iowa, and Governor Reynolds with her team of experts and advisors are continuing the process of returning to normal by relaxing restrictions of businesses. I pray the state can return to normal and the virus fades away!At the time of this writing, the state legislature does not have enough information on the economic effect people and businesses have had. I’m Bruce Adams, and I’m very appreciative of the opportunity to run for the State Senate in District 38.My wife , Janie, works at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg. We have two sons. Brett, who lives in San Diego, recently completed five years in the Marines, and is finishing a college degree this month. Our other son, Greg, is an Air Force Veteran, currently lives in Singapore, is teaching English, and hopes to return to the Chicago area in June. Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation continuing the State Public
Health Emergency DeclarationOn Wednesday, Governor Reynolds signed a new proclamation
continuing the Public Health Disaster Emergency. The proclamation
permits summer school activities, including baseball and softball, to
resume on June 1. And effective this Friday, May 22, Movie
theaters, zoos, aquariums, museums, and wedding reception venues will
be permitted to reopen with appropriate public health measures in
place.
Area Campgrounds now OPEN, with restrictions
Benton County was open for camping as of 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Modern restrooms and shower houses remain closed. Pit toilets are open. Cabins, shelters, offices, nature centers remain closed."Campsites are designed with enough separation between camping units, so we are not enforcing patrons using every other site," said Karen Phelps, Executive Director of Benton County Conservation.

Benton County Board of Supervisors Minutes May 12,2020
May 12, 2020The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Bierschenk and Seeman present, Primmer participated via zoom, and Bierschenk acted as Chair and called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Members of the public were provided the zoom access capability to join in during open session and watch live at the county’s YouTube channel.

To order internet/video/voice, you simply need to request services, This can be made via website or by calling iVinton office (472-3255). After the date/time is set, Patriot will make the equipment installation in the home. This requires the homeowner to be present. With COVID-19 present, limited instruction is provided on the system workings.
