Benton County Board of Supervisor Minutes 6/14/16 & 7/5/16

June 14, 2016 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session. Terry Hertle was absent. The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. The time of 9:00 a.m. having arrived, the Board proceeded with the canvass of the Primary Election held on June 7, 2016.

Benton Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners mtg. set for July 20

The next regular meeting of the Benton Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2016. The Commissioners will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the District office in Vinton. Items on the agenda include minutes from previous meetings, financial reports, conservation plans, Federal and State cost share programs, Watershed Project activities, and other general business.

Soil & Water Commission to meet July 20

The next regular meeting of the Benton Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2016.  The Commissioners will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the District office in Vinton.  Items on the agenda include minutes from previous meetings, financial reports,  conservation plans, Federal and State cost share programs, Watershed Project activities, and other general business.

Benton County Republicans to Meet Tuesday, July 12th

The Benton County Republicans will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 12th, at the Van Horne Community Center. Republicans are invited to attend as we plan our annual fundraiser and get to work on this year's election cycle.

Benton County Board of Supervisor Minutes 6/28/16

June 28, 2016 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Unless otherwise noted, all actions were approved unanimously. Wiley moved; Hertle seconded: Adopt Resolution #16-51. Voting aye were Frese, Wiley, and Hertle. Nays none.

Help Protect Soil & Water Resources Four Seats Open on Local Board

The seats of three members of the Benton Soil & Water Conservation District Board will expire this year. In addition, one vacant term that expires in 2019 will also be filled. Successors will be chosen at the November general election. Newly elected Commissioners will serve a four-year term. “What’s a Commissioner?” you might ask.
