McClintock's Month in Wrap: Summer at a Glance
The end of August marks the last days of summer. Looking back, we've had quite a busy summer!In May, we concluded the 90th General Assembly, recognized Memorial Day and honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice, visited the Iowa College for the Blind campus and had two great breakfasts hosted by the Central City and Coggon Fire Departments. June brought the iconic Alburnett Car Show, the Iowa Professional Fire Fighters Annual Business Convention hosted in Cedar Rapids and two great county fairs (Linn and Benton). IOWA GRANT APPLICATIONS SOUGHT TO COMBAT DRUGS AND CRIME
The Iowa Office of Drug Control Policy (ODCP) announced today it is now accepting applications from state and local units of government for Criminal Justice Enhancements. This is a one-time special solicitation through the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and to improve the criminal justice system.
