FFA Vegetable Exhibitors Win State Fair Honors

70 exhibitors showed nearly 700 vegetables in the FFA Horticulture competition judged Thursday, August 8, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair.Dakota Lopata of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA won the High Point Exhibitor award and Evan Lopata of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA claimed the Reserve High Point Exhibitor Award.

Several laws in Iowa have changed so the City of Vinton now has to update its own ordinances/laws. The State of Iowa's laws went into effect as of July 1, 2024.
