As I sat to talk with Sylvia Schoonover, I said something like, "I've known you most of my life." then I realized that I had known her my whole life. I was born to parents who attended church with Sylvia so we had that shared history to begin our visit.

Vinton's changing landscape

1st St. West is still under construction It has been another productive summer and fall around Vinton! On the west end of town, we've watched a couple of developments happening. The largest and one that impacts a lot of people every day is the paving of West 1st Street. It looks like it's been moving quickly, for the most part, but then I don't live on that street. I'm sure residents in that area might disagree with my assessment! We also added an Auto Zone on that end of town as well this summer.
