Even the staff at Tilford Elementary picked their costumes for the day. 101 Dalmatians showed up in place of the regular teachers and staff of the school on Monday.

The campaign for Governor Reynolds announced on Monday that they will be making a stop, in Vinton tomorrow, Tuesday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m.Congresswoman Ashley Hinson and possibly other GOP leaders will be there as well.

Halloween activities bring more than 400 children to downtown Vinton

With perfect weather, Vinton Parks and Recreation hosted more than 400 children and their families in downtown Vinton. With several activities for the children on the courthouse lawn, children were able to have a bit of fun before taking part in the parade through downtown Vinton.

2nd Annual Glow Fun Run brings close to 175 runners

The 2nd Annual 5K Glow Fun Run took off on Saturday, October 22. Funds raised through the run go toward  trail improvement and scholarships for Vinton-Shellsburg seniors.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight will re-launch Flight #45. The Eastern Iowa Honor Flight Board of Directors, along with many volunteer coordinators have been working diligently to ensure the veterans scheduled to board flight #45 have a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to visit monuments and memorials built in honor of their service and sacrifice.

For 12.5 years, Vinton Today has been able to publish the names of those who comment on articles without any problem. Because of recent events, aka readers who commented on articles were now being tracked down and harassed on social media, comments will now look different.
