For 12.5 years, Vinton Today has been able to publish the names of those who comment on articles without any problem. Because of recent events, aka readers who commented on articles were now being tracked down and harassed on social media, comments will now look different.

Fareway joins Secretary Pate's efforts to combat human trafficking in Iowa

 Fareway Stores, Inc. announced today it has joined a statewide coalition to end human trafficking in Iowa. The Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT) initiative is led by Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate.

Curbside pickup is for leaves ONLY is now underway. NO sticks, grass, dead plants, plant clippings/debris, etc. To make things cleaner and easier, please place the leaves about one foot out from the curb.

Saturday night accident, no serious injuries

Saturday night, at approximately 10:30 PM the Benton County Sheriff’s department, Vinton Fire Department, Vinton Police Department, and North Benton Ambulance responded to an accident on the east side of Vinton.

Iowa Economic Development Authority Touring Vinton
