Vinton man charged with sending obscene material to minors

On February 21, 2018, the Vinton Police Department received a report that Lyle Arthur Fowler, age 43, of Vinton, had been communicating with underage girls and requesting nude photographs of them via cell phones and social media.

The search continues for Jake Wilson, the autistic La Porte City teenager who has been missing since Saturday, April 7. The FBI has created a web site for people to submit anonymous tips, including videos or photos of the LPC area taken the night Jake went missing; law enforcement personnel have also announced that they are looking into reports of another person walking in the area that night.
