The Vinton Public Library is holding a silent auction to raise funds for our adult programming.  Thanks to the help of Cheryl and Donna, our quilt is now complete! Over a dozen  local quilters submitted blocks toward the project and we are so pleased with the results.

We received multiple calls today from residents in Benton County. A message was received telling the resident that they need to contact the DMV in reference to an unpaid tickets/fines, or their license is going to be suspended or a multiple of other penalties.

The Shellsburg Public Library is excited to announce that an ADA-accessible automatic door has been installed to better serve all members of our community.

On Tuesday, June 10, at 9:15 a.m. the Benton County Supervisors will be asked to approve a land use change in Benton County. The address of the land change from agricultural use is the "southeast one-fourth (SE1/4) of the northeast one-fourth (NE1/4) of Sec 12 T86N, R11, West of the 5th P.
