The Shellsburg Area Community Group’s latest effort to bring an upgrade to the City Park was very successful. The goal was to replace the worn and unattractive picnic tables in the frequently used park pavilion.

Virginia Gay Hospital proudly celebrated the commitment and dedication of its staff during the 2025 Annual Employee Awards Banquet, held at the Vinton Country Club on Wednesday evening.

Vinton-Shellsburg High School Gym was a place of celebration on Sunday for the Class of 2025. The   high school band played "Pomp and Circumstance: as the graduates filed in.
