2024-2025 VSCSD and VSEA Reception May 14, 4-5:00 p.m.

The annual VSCSD and VSEA Reception will be held on Wednesday, May 14, from 4-5:00 p.m. at the Vinton Skate and Activity Center.  At 4:30 p.m. we will recognize our retiring staff and end of the year honorees.

Tori Richart of   Vinton-Shellsburg and Kyla Shaull of Belle Plaine were recognized by Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer for outstanding academic achievement at the 23rd Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony on April 27 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

Shellsburg Memorial Park Improvement

As part of the Shellsburg Area Community Group’s (SACG) ongoing efforts to improve the city's park areas, the Parks Committee undertook the task of researching, funding, acquiring and installing a steel shaded canopy and picnic table on a concrete pad during the fall of 2024.

Today, Governor Kim Reynolds signed the following bills into law:SF 470: A bill for an act relating to prior authorization for dental care services, notice to dental care providers that a dental care service plan is state-regulated, and the recovery of overpayments by a dental carrier.
