Clarence "Lloyd" Hager, 90, of Cedar Falls/La Porte City, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Western Home Communities - Deery Suites.He was born November 25, 1931, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Eunice (Elwell) Hager. He graduated from La Porte City High School in 1949. On August 19, 1955, he married Norma Bakker in Grundy Center. Lloyd farmed and owned Hager Insurance in La Porte City. Joseph Edward Stablein
Joseph Edward Stablein, 88, of Coon Rapids, Iowa, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids.Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids with Father Patrick Behm as celebrant. Phyllis Mae Schrader was born on April 9, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Ella (Steuber) Floyd. Phyllis attended Edgewood Country School near Cedar Rapids. On April 19, 1954, she was united in marriage to Arthur Schrader at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. The couple made their home in Norway, Iowa for a year before moving to Dysart, where they lived for more than 60 years. Darwin Ray Oehlerich

Henry B. Tippie passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2022.Henry was born on a farm near Belle Plaine, Iowa, on Jan. 5, 1927, to Robert and Amelia Tippie. He attended a one-room schoolhouse through the eighth grade and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1944. He enlisted at age 17 in the Army Air Forces. Thelma J. Frese, 97, of Watkins, IA passed away February, 23, 2022 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, IA.Thelma was born September 21, 1924 to James Earl and Mable Rosalie (Benesh) Tumilty on a farm South of Shellsburg. After moving with her family to four different farms during the depression years they ended up near Vinton, IA. Thelma graduated from Vinton High School in 1941 with a Normal Training Certificate, allowing her to teach school in Iowa for a period of two years. Betty Jean Larimer

A memorial service for Betty will be held on Thursday February 24, 2022, at 1:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN. There will be a visitation prior to the service, at 11:00am.
