Corley John Junge

Corley John Junge, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Promise House in Hiawatha.Private family services were held with interment at the Keystone Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.Corley was born on November 12, 1928 on the family farm near Keystone, the son of Peter and Hilda (Seeck) Junge.

Conrad Lee “Connie” Brehm

Conrad Lee “Connie” Brehm, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Vinton.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the George G. Luckey American Legion Post #57 of Vinton and Air Force Military Honors.

Patricia “Patty” Lawless

Patricia “Patty” Lawless, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home in rural Shellsburg.Private family graveside services will be held at the Brandon Cemetery. Patty was born on May 19, 1944, in New Sharon, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Joyce (Meyer) Dewitt.  She was united in marriage to John A. Lawless on March 7, 1962 in Dodge Center, MN.

Michael Ray Horning

Michael Ray Horning, 67, of Shellsburg, IA died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at home.Mike was born November 28, 1952 to George and Maxine (Davenport) Horning in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated from Marion High School and completed his AA degree at Kirkwood Community College. His number came up in the last draft lottery, and he entered the U.S. Army in 1972.

Dick Davis

Dick Davis was born on December 2, 1925, in rural Mt. Auburn, Iowa, to Ivan and Elda (Wagoner) Davis. He married Phyllis Heaton on October 20, 1946. He worked for many of his years as an owner of Keystone Implement Company in Keystone, Iowa, and in the early 1960's became the sales manager for his brothers at Davis Implement in Vinton until his retirement at age 65.

Avery Grace Fecht-Lovell

Avery Grace Fecht-Lovell passed away the day she was born, June 17, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, while in the arms of her mother and father.Private family services will be held.Avery Grace is survived by her parents, Kaitlynn M. Lovell and Christopher Fecht of Hudson; maternal grandfather, Patrick Lovell of Vinton; maternal grandmother, Robyn Lovell of Vinton; paternal grandparents, Mike and Amie Fecht of Waterloo; one aunt, Hailey Lovell of Vinton; four uncles, Christian Lovell of Vinton, Gabriel Burkhart of Waterloo, Ryan Fecht of Waterloo and Matt Fecht (Taylor King) of Palo.

William “Bill or Mac” F. McMosley

William “Bill or Mac” F. McMosley, 73, of Williamsburg, IA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:45 PM, Saturday at the Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a scholarship fund for young musicians in William’s name.

Barbara Ann Quinlan

Barbara Ann Quinlan, 79, of Belle Plaine passed away Sunday June 21, 2020 peacefully at her home.Barbara was born September 9, 1940 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Harold and Rosemary (Vogel) Berkley. She attended school in Dubuque before moving with her family to Dyersville, IA where she graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School in Dyersville. Following school, she worked as a nurse’s aide before meeting Gary Thomas Quinlan.

Madeline F. Arens

Madeline F. Arens, 96, of Belle Plaine, Iowa passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.Services are pending with Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service of Belle Plaine, Iowa.

Shelly Syx

Shelly Syx, 59, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a brief illness. Shelly was born Oct. 7, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Clarence "Nick" Jr. and Sharon (Dicken) Long. She graduated in 1979 from Washington High School in Vinton, Iowa. Shelly is survived by her children, Derrick Syx of Atkins, Jessie Syx of Atkins and Christine Parra of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Josie; a brother, Scott (Kathy) Long of Las Vegas, Nev.
