Murray L. Gallaher

Murray L. Gallaher, 81, of Waterloo, died at Allen Memorial Hospital, on Friday October 11, 2013, complications of a stroke. He was born on November 17, 1931 in Brandon, IA son of Murray and Lyle Burroughs Gallaher. He graduated from Van Horne High School in 1950 and received an AA degree in bookkeeping from AIC in Cedar Falls in 1988. Murray served in the United States Navy as a Firefighter Instructor, receiving an honorable discharge in 1954.

Carole Patterson McGrath

Fresno, CA—Carole Patterson McGrath, 64, died peacefully at her home, under hospice care, on June 12, 2013 from complications of multiple sclerosis. Her husband, Bob, wanted all her friends in Vinton to know. Carole's father was a Highway Patrolman and the family lived in Vinton for a number of years. Carole was a member of the class of 1967.
