Charles B. Sumner, age 81, of Vinton, Iowa, formerly of Newhall, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall, Iowa officiated by Rev. Steven W. Rempfer. Visitation will take place 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday at St. Karla Jo Jessen Sellers
Coralville—Karla Jo Jessen Sellers, 53, died peacefully of cancer Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Memorial services will be 2 pm Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home. VINTON – David Michael Hibbs, son of Dr. David and Frona Hibbs, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after suffering an illness.
Mike was born on December 5, 1941, and graduated with the class of 1960 at Washington High School in Vinton. Mike was a lifelong resident of Vinton. He was a gifted athlete who loved playing baseball, basketball, football and running track in school. Brandon J. Smith

Brandon J. Smith, 25, of Quasqueton, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his home as a result of an accident in his shop.
He was born November 1, 1988 in Waterloo, son of Scott and Amy Smith.

Vinton—Marion R. Schwartz, 94, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Vinton Lutheran Home from complications of Alzheimers.
