  Thomas Wayne Noeller succumbed to cancer November 29, 2013 at Liberty Hospital at the age of 73. Thomas is predeceased by Helen and Lawrence Noeller his parents, Janet Rice his sister.   Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Irmgard Noeller. They were married in Germany on June 15, 1961.   Thomas is loving remembered by his son Michael Noeller, Daughter in law Susan Noeller, his step daughter Levona Eckstein, his sister in law Mariann Stern, his grandson Cody Noeller, his granddaughter Krystle Espinoza and her husband Eduardo Espinoza and his great grand children Xaviar and Ayla Espinoza.

Blanche R. Oehlerich, 97, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone with the Rev. B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.

Evelyn N. Primmer, 89, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Phillips Funeral Home, 212 East Sixth Street in Vinton, with the Rev. David Gates officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Kathleen L. “Kathy” Lucas, age 53 of Marengo, died Monday, December 9, 2013at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 A.M.Saturday, December 14, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo with Chaplain Nancy Johnson officiating. Burial: St. Patrick’s Cemetery, rural Fairfax.

VINTON – Berniece Duello, 95, of Vinton, died Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday, December 11, from 4 to 7 p.

Robert H. “Bob” Smith, 80, died at Ravenwood Care Center in Waterloo on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, near Urbana. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 to 7 p.

Elsie Barbara Anna Williams Knaack, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall, with the Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, near Atkins. Visitation will be held at the church in Newhall from 4 to 7 p.

Dick Clark Sailer, 72, Independence, formerly of Vinton, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at West Village Care Center in Independence. Visitation will be 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton.  Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, December 12, at Blessed Hope Church in Vinton with Rev. Peter Lolagne officiating.

  Vinton—William “Bill” Earl, 63, died peacefully at his home under hospice care surrounded by family Friday, December 6, 2013 after a courageous battle with liver cancer.  Visitation will be 2 to 5 pm Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. Cremation and private family burial will follow.

Vest, 74, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.      Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev.
