VINTON – Alfred John Schwartz, 86, died Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at First Christian Church in Vinton with Rev. Connie Wacht officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 30, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Robert Tschantz
Robert Irvin Tschantz, 76, of Springville, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at his home.
Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Springville Presbyterian Church, Springville. SHELLSBURG: Orville Dean Fish, 94, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.

VINTON: Viola Marie Koeppen, 88 of Vinton and formerly of Belle Plaine died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
There will be no public services scheduled, interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Viola was born September 28, 1926 to Otto and Helen (Phelps) Holst at Belle Plaine.

CEDAR RAPIDS – Dennis F. Burns, 61, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha due to cancer.
