Donald J. Becker
Donald J. Becker, 73, of Chandler, Ariz. and Watkins, Iowa, died Jan. 31, 2013, after a lingering illness. Services at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, St. Patrick’s Church, Watkins with Father Craig Steimel as celebrant. Public visitation also will be held at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Don was born March 16, 1939, he graduated from Norway High School and married Shirley Ann Hoyt in 1960. Clarence Kisling
Clarence E. Kisling, 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. Sixth St.) in Vinton, with the Rev. Melanie Van Weelden officiating. VINTON: John Anthony Scriven, 58, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 after doing his best to fight his battle with cancer.

SHELLSBURG: Robert L. "Bob" Kreutner, 74, died January 28, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.

Merrynell (Nell) Rolland, 78, of Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Iowa, passed away on Sunday January 20, 2013, at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa. A Celebration of Life Service will be planned for late spring in Iowa.
Nell was born in Cresco, Ia on august 29, 1934 to Ray and Madge Farnsworth. She attended school there through high school.
