Charles J. Krivanek, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. VINTON – Marvin H. Rommann, 81 of Canon City, Colorado and formerly of Vinton died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colorado. Public Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 17, 2013 with the Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post #57 Chaplain officiating at the Garrison Cemetery. Military Honors will also be conducted by Geo. Murray L. Gallaher
Murray L. Gallaher, 81, of Waterloo, died at Allen Memorial Hospital, on Friday October 11, 2013, complications of a stroke.
He was born on November 17, 1931 in Brandon, IA son of Murray and Lyle Burroughs Gallaher. He graduated from Van Horne High School in 1950 and received an AA degree in bookkeeping from AIC in Cedar Falls in 1988.
Murray served in the United States Navy as a Firefighter Instructor, receiving an honorable discharge in 1954. Maylene Burrows
