The Vinton-Shellsburg football season came to an end with Friday' s home loss to Crestwood, 31-14. The game took place in the rain, and the field was already muddy by the start of the varsity game, leaving many uniforms covered with mud by the end of the game.

The District XC was held Thursday on the Wartburg XC course in Waverly.   In the girls event, VSHS runners Lily Horst took 2nd and Bristi Gerber took 3rd.

  Tuesday was yet another record breaking evening as the Vinton-Shellsburg Union lady swimmers continued their season-long assault on the record books.
