Here are the results from the WAMAC West divisional golf tourney held at Stone Creek Country Club, Williamsburg May 2. It is a 9 hole tourney.  Benton and CPU were also there.

     Scott Pippert won his fourth Hobby Stock feature in a row in Vinton on Sunday night, and Vinton's Scott Hogan returned to Victory Lane in the Modified feature.

    I know that most of us are probably thinking the same thing- When is the sun coming out to warm it up.  I hope we are starting to see a change now and soon 70’s and 80’s will be the norm to kick off a great summer.

    The  Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings came in a close second behind Marion during the Viking Invitational Thursday in Vinton. Marion finished with 161 points; the Vikings, 150.

   Candy for kids on May 1, specials for moms on May 8, and a Tuesday race, the Hawkeye Dirt Tour opener, on May 10 are all part of the schedule at the Benton County Speedway for May.

  The V-S Trap team saw top individual performances out of the Lebeda Brothers. Dalton Lebeda topped younger brother shooting a 45/50 targets while Wyatt shot a 43/50.

  The first green flag of the season flies on Tuesday, May 10 at Benton County Speedway, for the JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win in the opening event of the second annual tour.
